OBJECTIVES

  • To obtain a position as a Security Guard.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 years total experience, standing guard, armed and unarmed.
  • Fluently speak English, Cantonese-Chinese, Mandarin-Chinese and Korean.
  • Received the following relevant training:
    • CPR qualified (2007)
    • Army Combat Medical Training (2006).
    • U.S. Navy Individual Augmentee Combat Training, to include: Weapons training, body search procedures, convoy operations.
    • Military Code of Conduct and Rules of Engagement, dictating professional, and legal procedures in dealing with subjects in question.

EXPERIENCE

Watch-standing/Patrol

  • Maintained radio contact with other guards and supervisors to inform of suspicious activity.
  • Experienced with night shift watches as well as working on a shift schedule.

Supervision

  • Successfully planned, organized and led field training missions in a “real-world” environment, ensuring adequate provisions and operational equipment to trainees for up to three weeks.
  • Co-developed and updated the “Job Qualification Requirements” used by new personnel deploying overseas.
  • Filled in for first-line supervisor during deployments, attending managers meetings, arbitrating disputes, and finalizing administrative paperwork.
  • Successfully built a cooperative work team and promoted productive environment by:
    • Delegating jobs in accordance with employees’ skills and abilities.
    • Treating employees with respect; maintaining a sense of humor.
    • Welcoming constructive criticism and input on production improvements.

Management

  • Established training programs
    • Edited and published monthly training calenders.
    • Located and reserved class rooms for daily classes in military training.
    • Coordinated training for personnel dispersed over a 300 mile radius.
    • Forecast and managed annual training budget while maximizing formal schooling.
  • Supervised a small team of three employees overseeing data collection and processing.
  • Designed office procedures; developed personnel policy on handling employee conduct.
  • Oversaw the record keeping, tracking of training hours required for employees.

Customer Service

  • Trained employees in developing and maintaining good customer relations, and how to effectively negotiate and resolve customer service problems.
