EXPERIENCE

Customer Service

  • Trained employees in developing and maintaining good customer relations, and how to effectively negotitate and resolve customer service problems.
  • Initiated a program of follow-up calls to encourage other military sites to return faulty or unusable equipment.

Interpretation

  • Served as a Liaison between US Navy and Korean Husbandry Services, to ensure the safe anchoring of US ships.
  • Interpreted to Republic of Korea Army personnel, the intent of US military higher-ups intentions to deploy sensitive US equipment on Republic of Korea vehicles under US supervision.

Project Development

  • Assessed ambitious plans to redeploy military equipment to military units spread across 5 cities.
    • Evaluated factors that prevented us from using the equipment.
    • Met with various military leaders to discuss the possible venues to utilize the equipment.
    • Made extensive presentations to Battalion commanders to support and utilize the equipment.

Project Management

  • Organized and spearheaded a recall program for faulty equipment, successfully accounting for all machines with a total estimated value of $2.4 million dollars.

Research

  • Broadened my understanding of current issues surrounding a foreign nation’s geo-political and military structure through extensive independent research.

Written and Oral Communication

  • Made presentations to officials to get approval and funding for operations.
  • Wrote and presented information briefings to peer officers to maximize use of resources.
  • Effectively counseled team leaders and supervisors.
